Ticket Around The World

Ticket Around the World is inspired by a five-month journey through Southeast Asia during my childhood. The series captures the contrasts that continue to shape my memories - the quiet temple walls worn smooth by time, bustling cities alive with movement, and chaotic night markets filled with color, sound, and energy. Layered with collage, marks, and fragments of language, these paintings explore travel, memory, and the lasting impression of places that stay with us long after we leave.

A contemporary living space with a gray armchair, a black and white houndstooth pillow, a gray throw blanket, an abstract painting with red, black, white, and gold colors on the wall, and a black and gold floor lamp.

Ceremonial Ash 36 x 36 Mixed Media
$2,600.00

This piece was born from a haunting and unforgettable moment in Bali—a funeral procession winding through the village streets. Hired mourners wailed, their cries rising with the thick plumes of incense smoke that filled the air. The atmosphere was charged, otherworldly—equal parts grief and ritual, chaos and reverence.

Ceremonial Ash captures that layered intensity: smudges of charcoal and ash-like tones evoke the smoky air; scarlet gestures hint at both fire and emotion; delicate symbols and marks echo the chants, the movement, the memory of bodies in motion. This painting is both a witness and a remembrance—an abstract elegy to the sacred and surreal spectacle of public mourning.

Urban Jungle 60 x 48 Mixed Media
$5,800.00

Grit and rhythm collide in Urban Jungle, a visceral nod to the pulse of Southeast Asian city life. The canvas hums with movement—layers of raw texture, bold red streaks like tuk-tuks weaving through alleyways, flashes of turquoise and orange echoing neon signs and fruit stands. There’s grit beneath the gold, chaos laced with beauty.

It’s the memory of exhaust and incense, the blur of a motorbike passing a market stall, the collision of ancient textures and modern motion. A map of sound and scent, etched into walls and woven into the air.

This painting doesn’t whisper. It honks, buzzes, breathes. It is the city.
